2019 Title Recodification

Recodification of Title 55: Property and Conveyances

Pursuant to § 30-152 of the Code of Virginia, the Virginia Code Commission voted to revise Title 55, Property and Conveyances, as part of its work plan. An advisory panel of practitioners experienced in this area assisted the Commission with this title recodification. 

The Commission approved the report (2018, S.D. 5) on the recodification of Title 55 at its meeting on October 15, 2018. Senate Bill 1080 was introduced into the 2019 Session of the General Assembly and enacted as Chapter 712 of the Acts of Assembly.
